DESCRIPTION
Clay-Coat Xtra is a medium cloud point glycol designed for use in water-based drilling fluids to improve lubricity and
shale stability. Clay-Coat Xtra is not affected by contaminants commonly encountered like medium to high salinity environments.
APPLICATION
Clay-Coat Xtra reduces torque and drag, stabilises reactive formations and reduces bit balling tendencies.
When used as directed the glycol helps to stabilise reactive shales by plugging their pore throat.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Pilot tests should be conducted to determine the optimum addition rate for the specific application.
Volumes of 3 – 10 % can be used as required for the specific situation.
