HAMMER OIL
Lubricant for Percussion Drilling
DESCRIPTION
HAMMER OIL is a specialty high quality, mineral oil based, heavy duty percussion tool lubricant supplied in four
grades, ISO 100, 150, 320 and 460 centipoise.
HAMMER OIL is specially developed to provide an effective
lubricating film over the metal surfaces to reduce wear on
heavily loaded parts and to prevent seizure.
APPLICATIONS/FUNCTIONS
HAMMER OIL includes an extreme pressure additive designed
to substantially enhance lubrication and reduce hammer failure
caused due to humidity and high operating pressures. HAMMER
OIL contains tackifiers, anti-rust, anti-wear and anti-fogging
additives for high film strength and to provide lubrication to all
moving components.
ADVANTAGES
- Increases drilling efficiencies
- Adheres to the rod under virtually any condition
- Resistant to hard saline water
- Does not wipe off under centrifugal or shear force
- Thermally stable and extreme pressure resistant
- Can be applied to wet surfaces
- Reduces wear to the drill string
- Reduces rotational torque and vibration
- Improves productivity
- Protects metals surfaces
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
- Appearance: Yellow brown liquid
- Flash Point: 250 – 310 ºC
