INHIBI-SWELL LV
CLAY AND SHALE STABILISER
DESCRIPTION
Inhibi-Swell LV is a uniquely formulated individually designed one sack system that allows drilling of difficult geological
formations which otherwise would have been impossible. Inhibi-Swell LV is a combination of select polymers and highly
efficient clay inhibitors that together improve drilling conditions in formations such as water sensitive clays and shales.
APPLICATIONS/FUNCTIONS
Inhibi-Swell LV combines several properties that inhibit the active mechanism when drilling swollen hydrophobic formations,
making them water repellent thereby stabilising the structures. Inhibi-Swell LV is specially formulated to provide clay
inhibition, viscosity, lubricity and enhancing mild filtration control to promote borehole stability. Inhibi-Swell LV has
been designed for use in all drilling activities.

- Appearence: Off-white powder
- pH (1 % solution): 8.0 – 9.0
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Normal use: 25 – 50kg per 1000 litres of water.
Polymers such as EZEE-TROL, AUS-TROL, EZEE-PAC R & L, standard PACs, BIO-VIS and XAN-BORE can all be used in conjunction with INHIBI-SWELL LV at concentrations between 2 – 4 kg per 1000 litres of water to improve properties.
