POLYFLIP
Inhibitor/Viscosifier
DESCRIPTION
POLYFLIP is a natural gum derived from the guar bean. POLYFLIP is an off-white free flowing powder, is non-toxic and biodegradable.
APPLICATIONS/FUNCTIONS
- Effective and relatively inexpensive viscosifier.
- Widely used in water well drilling and shallow hole core drilling, due to its biodegradability.
- In the presence of drilled solids or low levels of bentonite, POLYFLIP exhibits excellent filtrate loss control.
- POLYFLIP may be added to foam solutions to produce a tougher foam for drilling in problem areas.
- Flocculate drilled cuttings when used in low concentrations.
- Improves air/foam injection properties.
- The viscosity of POLYFLIP solutions may be increased drastically by introducing a crosslinking agent such as borax.

- Reduces drill-pipe torque and circulating pressure
- Can be broken down with hypochlorite when desired

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
- Generally 2 Kg to 6 Kg/1000 litres will produce a high viscosity solution.
- The rate at which solutions of POLYFLIP will degrade is dependent on the makeup water. Generally, POLYFLIP solutions will degrade within 12 to 72 hours.
