AEROFOAMHigh Performance Foam
DESCRIPTION
AEROFOAM is a blend of highly active, high yielding anionic surfactants and stabilising agents. AEROFOAM is formulated for use in normal water as well as hard water areas.
APPLICATIONS/FUNCTIONS
- Increases the hole cleaning capability of the air stream.
Used for drilling in zones of extreme loss or circulation.
- Lowers the compressor requirements for a given depth or water influx.
- Reduces the sticking tendencies of wet clays, thereby reducing mud rings and pack offs.
- Suppresses dust while dry air drilling.
- Improves the bailing ability of the rig.
ADVANTAGES
- AEROFOAM provides high foam quality at low concentrations.
- Reduces water consumption and compressor requirements.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
- Appearance: light brown coloured liquid.
- Completely soluble in water.
RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
- Dust suppression, 0.5 litre to 1.5 litre/1000 litres water.
- Mist drilling, 2.5 litres to 5.0 litres/1000 litres water.
- Foam drilling, 5.0 litres to 20.0 litres/1000 litres water.
- Stiff foam drilling, 5.0 litres to 20.0 litres/1000 litres water.
- If drilling conditions are very poor, a stabiliser such as POLYFLIP, EZEEMIX or CAP 21 may be used to increase bubble
stability and carrying capacity. The stabiliser is added to the injection water prior to the addition of the foam
concentrate. Recommended dosage is as follows: POLYFLIP : 1 Kg to 3 Kg per 1000 litres water; EZEEMIX : 0.3 Kg to 1 Kg per 1000 litres water; CAP 21 : 0.5 Kg to 1.5 Kg per 1000 litres water.
