DESCRIPTION
BATCH 9 is a high performance lubricant to be used for relatively shallow drilling where the formation being drilled is very fractured. The lubricant is an unstable emulsion, which forms a very soft lubricating gel on contact with water. This gel not only lubricates the drill string and drill bit, but also helps in sealing off the formation so that there is less water loss in the formation. This lubricant is preferably not to be used for depths greater than 500 m, as the lubricant tends to gum up and form a black layer on the drill pipes at greater depths.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT


• BATCH 9 must preferable be applied through a drip feed system
• Drip feed addition rate is 2.5 Lt to 10 Lt per 1000 Lt pumped
