Yield Testing

A pumping test after completion of the borehole measures its yield in terms of its drawdown so the most suitable
pumping equipment can be selected. The pumping test gives:
- The water-volume pumped per hour.
- The depth to the pumping level over a period of time of one or more constant pumping rates.
- The water level recovery after pumping is stopped.
- The length of time the well is pumped at each rate during the test procedure.
- The best depth to set the pump.
