rotary drilling rig, developed to increase the drilling services currently offered by borehole technicians throughout
Southern Africa. It was also designed to provide affordable easy-to-use drilling equipment to everyone that needs access to water
in remote and rural locations or confined locations inaccessible to conventional drilling equipment.

A 120mm diameter hole dug 30m deep in under 6 hours through the following soil types:
Sand, gravel, latrite (Ou Klip), clay, shale and slate excavated from geosite during the
drilling process.
The MobiRig portable rotary drilling rig can drill a borehole at an economical and previously

The MobiRig Lite is a compact water drilling rig, designed to be used in areas where the water table is known to be less than 30 metres from the ground surface. Such as, in valleys and dry river beds, or where vegetation provides indication of shallow water.
The ease-of-use and the lightweight design of the MobiRig makes it the ideal choice for use in rural areas where drilling budget is limited but where access to water is vital.
